1.2379 is a high carbon, high chromium, molybdenum, vanadium, air hardening tool steel which offershigh surface hardness, good wear resistance, through hardening properties, dimensional stability and high resistance to tempering effect. 1.2379 tool steel is also suitable for vacuum hardening.
Applications:
1.2379 Tool Steel Round Bar good toughness and wear resistance, suitable to make the blanking dies with a thickness over 6mm, drawing die etc.

1.2379 Tool Steel Round Bar is a high- carbon and high- chromium alloy tool steel. It has good wear resistance and size ability after heat treatment and is suitable for making long-life high-precision cold-work dies.
